Wil Johnson's life seems relatively normal. High school graduation is a month away, his mom is getting married again, and then he and his best friend, Scott, will be heading off to college. For the past few weeks, however, Wil has been plagued by nightmares that he can't shake. Even more puzzling, his friend Andrew is having the same visions.
The puzzle pieces begin to come together with the appearance of Cassia, a mystical being from the realm of clouds. She enables Wil to remember who and what he is, yet Cassia comes bearing dark news Meslo, the enemy of her people, has released his children on the Earth, and Secret Keepers like Wil are the key to his plan. Despite her warnings, Wil finds himself falling prey to the black magic even as his feelings for Cassia begin to change. Unless Wil and Andrew can find a way to fight Meslo's evil influence, they'll lose their souls forever.
Elizabeth Carroll was born and raised in Henderson, North Carolina. After graduating from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington with a master's degree in creative writing, she began a career teaching and writing novels. Her first novel, The Secret Keeper, was self-published by Wheatmark, Inc. This is her second novel. She currently lives in North Carolina with her husband and son.

In The Convergence by Elizabeth Carroll , all these aspects come to be a large part of the second book of a series by the writer. As in the Secret Keeper, Mrs. Carroll first work, baseball is an important bond between Will and his friends ; however, our young men have matured into high school seniors on the verge of graduating and moving on to other adventures of life - college, army, and jobs. As the youth in the novel matured from The Secret Keeper , the written language in this novel has matured as well . Our friends lose much of their innocence with the implied romantic fling between Will's close friend and one of the corrupting influences from another world. The tragedy that occurs on what should be one of young people's happiest days brings innocence to a sudden end and sets up what should a power-packed third book in the series by a gifted writer . I recommend this book to all people who love reading about youth growing up as well as reading a good tale with plenty of excitement.
